I am receiving several emails a day wondeirng when the pumpkin patch session will take place in Ruston at the Townsend House this year, so here it is!

Jamie and I will both be taking sessions the afternoon of Tuesday October, 5th (2:30am-6:30pm) and the morning of Wednesday, October the 6th (8am-1pm). This means that we are ONLY doing 40 pumpkin patch sessions between the two of us and last year I alone did over 60!

Here’s the details:

You can come with your child, in their Halloween costume or in regular clothes (some of you managed to change your child and do both and stay within your 25 minute session time spot!). Your session time is 25 minutes long (which was plenty for the small area we worked in last year, we weren’t rushed at all!), and we schedule them every 30 minutes (so make sure you are on time!)

The session fee is $99 and can include just your child (or children, sibling groups welcome) or you and your child/children and includes 15 digital proofs in an online gallery and on Facebook.

Book your session by September 15th and receive a complimentary 8X10 Unique Motifs limited edition autumn photo mat with a 4X6 opening ($30 value), and 15 hi resolution digital images for download ($375 value) with a limited personal use copyright release to make your own prints, cards, photo books and more!

To book a session you must fill out the contact form bu clicking the contact button above. Please include your preferred day and time (spaces are first come, first serve) and we will email you your actual date and time. If the time works for you then we will book your time for one week. You will have that time to mail a check for the session in order to have your photo mat ready on the day of and secure your spot. If we don’t receive your check we will notify you and then give someone on the waiting list your time slot. There have already been more inquires than spots so reserve yours today!

This is the 11X14 version of the photo mat with three openings. You will receive the 8X10 version with one opening. To purchase extra copies for the 8X10 for $30 or an 11X14 mat for $50 please email us in advance so they will be ready to take home with you on your shoot date.

Here are some insights to my session with Austin for his 6 month pictures and his big brother Jackson. I hope you find these guys as entertaining as I did!

It’s always great to have a big brother to help you sit up when you are still wobbly.

Moms (myself included) usually laugh when trying to make their babies smile, and that is a mom’s most beautiful look.

It’s hard to smile when you have to work so hard to stay upright.

Hip adult hairstyles (especially ones that were hip when we were in high school) always look awesome on babies.

There is always someone looking up to you.

Be yourself.

This is a little shout out to Adrienne my awesome hair stylist at La Bella Salon in Ruston. I have been photographing her fmaily for about a year now and in that year she has also been doing my hair……as some of your may have noticed Adrienne has given my hair a major makeover! She is always fun to chat with in the chair and makes my hair look amazing. With her help I am reclaiming some of my former self after loosing it to my post mommy body and hair. I highly recommend all you mommas and everyone else to go see Adrienne, she knows exactly what to do with every hair type, she’s professional, and super fun to be around!

These were taken on Sunday when we did a shoot that included 23 members of the Russell family! Wow what a day! Everything went pretty smooth, even with Autumn tagging along with me! You guys were fun and I enjoyed photographing each one of you.
