Jamie and I will both be taking sessions the afternoon of Tuesday October, 5th (2:30am-6:30pm) and the morning of Wednesday, October the 6th (8am-1pm). This means that we are ONLY doing 40 pumpkin patch sessions between the two of us and last year I alone did over 60!

Here’s the details:

You can come with your child, in their Halloween costume or in regular clothes (some of you managed to change your child and do both and stay within your 25 minute session time spot!). Your session time is 25 minutes long (which was plenty for the small area we worked in last year, we weren’t rushed at all!), and we schedule them every 30 minutes (so make sure you are on time!)

The session fee is $99 and can include just your child (or children, sibling groups welcome) or you and your child/children and includes 15 digital proofs in an online gallery and on Facebook.

Book your session by September 15th and receive a complimentary 8X10 Unique Motifs limited edition autumn photo mat with a 4X6 opening ($30 value), and 15 hi resolution digital images for download ($375 value) with a limited personal use copyright release to make your own prints, cards, photo books and more!

To book a session you must fill out the contact form bu clicking the contact button above. Please include your preferred day and time (spaces are first come, first serve) and we will email you your actual date and time. If the time works for you then we will book your time for one week. You will have that time to mail a check for the session in order to have your photo mat ready on the day of and secure your spot. If we don’t receive your check we will notify you and then give someone on the waiting list your time slot. There have already been more inquires than spots so reserve yours today!

This is the 11X14 version of the photo mat with three openings. You will receive the 8X10 version with one opening. To purchase extra copies for the 8X10 for $30 or an 11X14 mat for $50 please email us in advance so they will be ready to take home with you on your shoot date.

Today he had a big boy hair cut, and then we went outside to enjoy the weather (it was in the 70′s in Dallas today!!!) and play on the playground at his new school. I intentionally had him wear his new Preschool t-shirt for some pictures so I don’t have to try to take the pictures tomorrow or Tuesday when I will most likely be crying.

Our baby boy Josiah at one week old. He was one of those newborns that stayed quietly awake for long periods of time even as a newborn. So sweet!

Brian and I have always tried to have the mentality that our family is our life, and we work with our kids daily. Editing with kids on our laps, having them on shoots, and taking phone calls with laughter (and often screaming) from the kids in the background. Do we turn on cartoons to get work done? Absolutely! Do I cook like I wish I did (like Jamie:)? No way!

But something I have learned is that everyone chooses how they run their lives and their family and this is how we do ours, its crazy, but it works for us and we couldn’t be more happy to have out kids as a part of our business and our everything!

This is seriously one of the most beautiful newborn babies I have ever laid eyes on!

We will be doing some Beehive product modeling of their line of children’s rainboot (called rainbops) and flip flops! First we are casting for the rainboot models.

For this shoot we are looking for girls (not babies) who wear sizes  11, 12, 13, 1, 2, or 3 in a rain boot. You and your child (no siblings please) must be available for a shoot Saturday, August 14th, time TBA in the Ruston area. Each participant will have to have their legal guardian present to sign a model release for the use of their pictures on this blog, as well as marketing materials for Beehive both in print and on the web. We are looking for 5 models and each model will get to keep her style of rainboot (rainbops) when the session is over, plus you will receive web versions of the images for Facebook abd blogging, and online gallery of images on our site with a $25.00 print credit towards ordering images that ship directly to your door!

A small note on personality types and babies. Peirce has the well, piercing if you will, blue eyes and a peaceful, super chill personality. Unfortunately trying to make Peirce give you a big smile can make you feel like you are a jester at the King’s court. Things that help? The first is accepting that your baby whomever he or she is is who they are and if they aren’t super smiley at this age and just capture those serious and totally heart melting eyes and facial expressions. Thankfully Peirce’s mom knows that “that is so Peirce” and while we still try to goof off and make him grin a bit we can all feel good about capturing Peirce who is is right now. Smiling or looking at us like we are crazy. Perice thanks for giving us a few smiles and humoring us!

This is Peirce’s dad, if you have been a dad on a shoot with me and your baby you probably have experienced me giving you fun jobs like hovering under the eves of a building and mixing bubbles in the rain, singing and dancing for laughs, holding a reflector or even taking off your shirt for pictures in some cases. Thanks for your great attitude dads, you know you enjoy being useful!

This baby girl has eluded me for quite some time by needing her mom’s maternity pictures down in the middle of our move to Texas and being born late and missing birth and newborn pictures while I was in Ruston right after the move! Finally we met in person and boy what a cute baby with the most beautiful eyes!
