Children 18 Months and up, playing, swimming, laughing, being serious, at birthday parties, painting and anything else they do!

Well hello there! I am so behind blogging because of all the wonderful sessions I have been out shooting and editing. It’s the busy season for is portrait photographers and in Bellingham we are dodging the rain and trying to make the most of the color fall leaves dropping everywhere. Last week I got to do one of my favorite types of sessions for this time of year- a large family group. Call me crazy, but I LOVE shooting extended family grandparents. I think its often times the only way people get pictures of their parents after they become grandparents and its so economical for a 2-3 immediate families to share a big family session.

This family really turned up the challenge level by including a dog, a set of newborn twins and two camera shy kids in the mix! Here’s some of my favorite from our session, enjoy!

Last weekend I photographed Meredith with her daughter, mother and grandmother in order to create a 4 generations photograph, similar to one that the family had of Meredith’s sister when she was a baby, her mother and grandmother. The grandparents were also celebrating an anniversary so while we were together we photographed the happy couple there in her home and then walked to a nearby park to get some  fun family shots outdoors. I love it when I can work with a family to use a session to accomplish multiple goals for a family. As a mom, I know its hard to get the whole family ready for a photo session, why not make the most of it? Thanks  Meredith for allowing me to spend some time with your and your crew, it was so fun!

Two twin posts back to back! Also on my trip to Ashland from Bellingham, I photographed Andrea and her 4 little lovelies. I had the joy of photographing baby Brian’s birth a couple years ago and have been blessed to call Andrea a friend since then. Andrea is one of the few people who is more of a get things done type of woman than myself! She is an inspiration of a woman and mother and I feel like a big sister I could call upon anytime I needed her! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites form their family session.

I love the look on Baby Brian’s face here!
