Ita’s Birth

This past week Sarah and Alistair got the beautiful Christmas gift of a baby girl! Sarah was such a strong laboring mama and their dogs, especially their oldest dog, Maggie, a 13 year old golden retriever stayed close by all throughout labor. Maggie would even pant during Sarah’s contractions and then lay her head down and rest in between along with her mama, it was amazing!

Meet JoLee Ann: Pregnancy, Birth and Newborn

Last week a very special baby girl was born to one of my most favorite mamas in the world. JoLee Ann not only has my middle name, and my childhood strawberry blond hair, and was born just three days form my birthday, but she has my heart already! Here is a series of JoLee during her mama’s pregnancy, her birth and her newborns (photographed at 3 days old in her home).

Townsend House Pumpkin Patch 2012: Ruston, Louisiana

SO every year for the last 6 years I have done pumpkin patch mini sessions in my home town. SInce moving away I make a point to come back to shoot these each year. I get so emotional seeing all these “big kids” that I began photographing as newborns, some I even attended their births! This year I photographed 30 families in one day of mini sessions and wow was it a busy day! I had a great time with Mali, my lovely assistant and with all of the babies and children. Can’t wait to see you all again next year!

Growing Green Baby’s Pregnancy: Ashland Maternity Photographer

This week I got to hang out with Melissa and her family for her pregnancy session. Melissa is the owner of Growing Green Baby, a new awesome baby store across from the Ashland Food-Coop in Ashland. I meant to take some pictures of the store to include in the post and totally forgot, I will have to do that this week. I wish there had been a store like this near me when I had my babies! The have baby carriers, and natural teething toys, cloth diapers and other great things for moms and babies!

Anyways, Melissa is a joy to be around! Even at almost 9 months pregnant she hiked around with me with a smile on her face, just glowing. Thanks Melissa for a great time! I can’t wait to photograph your new little one when he arrives!
